Metro Manila, Philippines – Green and Smart Mobility Joint Stock Company (GSM) has launched Green GSM, the first all-electric taxi service in the Philippines. This marks GSM’s entry into its fourth international market after Vietnam, Laos, and Indonesia. The initiative is part of the company’s “Go Green Global” strategy to promote sustainable mobility worldwide.
The launch event took place at Quezon Memorial Circle in Quezon City and was attended by notable figures including H.E Ma. Cristina A. Roque from the Department of Trade and Industry, Mr. Vivencio Bringas Dizon from the Department of Transportation, Mr. Frederick D. Go – Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs, Mr. Teofilo E. Guadiz III from Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board, Madame Joy Belmonte – Quezon City Mayor, H.E Mr. Lai Thai Binh – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to the Philippines, along with nearly 100 strategic partners.
Green GSM will operate in 10 out of 16 cities within Metro Manila using an exclusive fleet of VinFast Nerio Green electric vehicles known for their zero emissions.
“The fleet’s signature cyan color embodies Green GSM’s vision of a modern lifestyle that respects and protects the planet,” states GSM.
The company emphasizes that choosing their service means contributing to reduced carbon emissions while enjoying a premium transport solution.
Green GSM operates under international standards with professionally trained drivers and uses a Secure to Safe (S2S) monitoring system focused on security, safety, and smart operations.
Fares are calculated transparently through in-car meters displayed on their app which promises competitive pricing compared to conventional services.

Commuters can access services via the mobile app available on App Store and Google Play or through other methods such as hailing taxis directly or using designated pick-up points across Metro Manila.
To celebrate its launch, an exclusive promotion offers 500 Green Points for users registering before August 31st which can be used as discounts on initial trips.
Founded in Vietnam in March 2023, GSM aims to redefine transportation norms across Southeast Asia with its focus on sustainability.
