Green SM, Indonesia’s first fully electric ride-hailing service, has been named one of the Top 10 Land Transportation Brands at the 2025 Disway Awards. The award highlights Green SM’s role in Indonesia’s shift toward electric mobility and its consistent presence in urban transportation.

The Disway Awards are organized by Disway Group, a major media network in Indonesia. Winners are selected based on a large-scale consumer survey conducted with Infovesta, a research and analytics institute. The 2025 survey gathered responses from over 19,000 working-age individuals across 20 major cities to assess brand visibility and trust.

Since launching, Green SM has expanded its operations to Jakarta, Bekasi, Makassar, and Surabaya. The company uses VinFast electric vehicles and employs professionally trained drivers while maintaining transparent fares. This approach aims to provide safe and reliable transportation for commuters and families.

Green SM reports that it has completed more than 39 million kilometers of rides using electric vehicles in Jakarta alone. These efforts have contributed to an estimated reduction of 7,600 tons of carbon emissions. While environmental sustainability was not initially the main draw for users, features such as quieter cabins have become valued aspects for repeat customers.

Deny Tjia, Managing Director of Green SM Indonesia, commented: “This acknowledgment reflects the trust Indonesians have placed in us. We are grateful for the support and will continue to learn, improve, and expand access to safe and comfortable electric mobility for communities across Indonesia.”

Tomy Gutomo, Director of Disway National Network added: “These awards are based on our survey conducted together with Infovesta in 19 cities. Brands that receive this recognition, including Green SM, have earned the trust of the public.”

As infrastructure for electric vehicles grows nationwide alongside government sustainability initiatives, Green SM plans to further improve service standards and expand into additional cities.
