Lao People’s Revolutionary Party delegation visits Vietcombank to discuss bilateral cooperation

On November 7, 2025, Vietcombank hosted a delegation of strategic-level reserve officials from the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party at its headquarters in Hà Nội. The visit was part of a study and exchange program involving both Lao and Vietnamese representatives.

Nguyễn Thanh Tùng, Member of the Party Committee of the Government, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Chairman of Vietcombank’s Board of Directors, addressed the meeting. “Vietcombank has always valued and actively contributed to nurturing the long-standing friendship and special solidarity between Viet Nam and Laos through practical and effective cooperation in the banking and financial sectors,” he said.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyễn Duy Bắc, Deputy Director of the Hồ Chí Minh National Academy of Politics, also spoke at the event. He stated his hope that “Vietcombank would continue to play a pioneering role in sharing experiences in financial management and payment operations, thereby contributing to the socio-economic development of both countries.”

Representing Laos, Ngampasong Muongmany, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Works and Transport, thanked Vietcombank for its reception. He expressed appreciation for “the bank’s role in supporting Vietnamese enterprises investing and expanding operations in Laos, contributing to the closer economic partnership and deep-rooted friendship between the two nations.”

During the meeting, commemorative souvenirs were exchanged between representatives from both sides as a gesture marking their continued cooperation.

The visit highlighted ongoing efforts to strengthen political and economic relations between Viet Nam and Laos through collaboration in banking services.
