Samsung Electronics has announced the addition of 15 new artworks from Tate to its Samsung Art Store. This move strengthens the platform’s collaborations with major art institutions, including the Art Institute of Chicago, the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), and Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum. The integration of the Tate collection aims to make notable pieces from prominent museums accessible for home viewing.
The latest additions feature works by modern masters such as Henri Matisse, Salvador Dalí, Mark Rothko, and Roy Lichtenstein—the first pop art artist to be featured on Samsung Art Store—as well as contemporary artists like Peter Doig and Beatriz Milhazes. Highlights include Roy Lichtenstein’s “Whaam!”, Henri Matisse’s “The Snail,” and Jackson Pollock’s “Yellow Islands.” The selection also features British painter Howard Hodgkin and Peter Doig’s pieces “Echo Lake” and “Ski Jacket.”
Samsung states that this expansion aligns with its goal to make museum-quality art more widely available. By collaborating with global partners in cities like New York, Madrid, and London, Samsung Art Store offers users a diverse experience of modern and contemporary artwork.
“Samsung Art Store is dedicated to providing people with the opportunity to experience world-class art in the comfort of their living rooms,” said Heeyeong Ahn, Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “By expanding our offerings to pieces from Tate, we are taking another step in supporting the irreplaceable experience of seeing art in person.”
The Samsung Art Store is available across its 2025 TV lineup—including QLED TVs and models such as The Frame and The Frame Pro—making these collections more accessible. The Frame Pro includes an upgraded Neo QLED screen designed for improved color accuracy and contrast. Its Wireless One Connect Box allows for easier installation by keeping cables hidden up to 30 feet away; however, performance may vary depending on environmental factors or obstructions such as metal cabinets or walls. Both TV and Wireless One Connect require separate power cords.
Additional features include an Anti-Reflection Matte Display intended to present artwork realistically. Users can further customize their display through different bezel options sold separately.
This year also saw Samsung Art Store expand compatibility to Neo QLED 8K, Neo QLED 4K, and other QLED series TVs.
