Samsung Electronics has launched a new campaign called “SmartThings Meets AI Home,” introducing its vision for integrating artificial intelligence into home environments. The campaign video, released ahead of IFA 2025, demonstrates how Samsung’s AI Home system uses SmartThings to connect and control both Samsung and third-party devices.
The video presents scenarios where SmartThings Routine can adjust air conditioning and lighting settings automatically. With a single tap on the SmartThings app, household chores are managed by connected appliances, allowing users more time for family activities and relaxation. The SmartThings Pet Care service is also featured as a way for users to look after their pets remotely.
Won-Jin Lee, President and Head of Global Marketing Office at Samsung Electronics, stated: “With this campaign, we aimed to highlight Samsung’s AI home experience redefined by AI leadership and SmartThings in a way that truly connects with customers. We will continue to make efforts to bring AI home experiences that make everyday life simpler, more meaningful and more human.”
The campaign video will be shown starting September 2 on outdoor screens at prominent locations including Times Square in New York and Piccadilly Circus in London. It will also be available on Samsung’s official social media channels such as YouTube.
Appliances must be connected through the SmartThings App on Android or iOS devices for these features to work. Users need to set up routines in the app and have both a Wi-Fi connection and a Samsung account.
