Samsung Electronics has announced a new partnership with Netflix to launch a special theme collection for Galaxy smartphones, inspired by the animated film “KPop Demon Hunters.” The promotion will allow Galaxy users to access these themes at no extra cost for a limited period.
The collection features eleven designs, including lock screen, home screen, always-on display (AOD), phone and message screens, and app icons. One of the packages highlights the in-universe K-pop group HUNTRIX, while ten other wallpapers focus on popular characters such as Rumi, Zoey, Jinu, Derpy, and Sussie.
According to Samsung, “The themes are designed to provide a consistent and visually engaging user experience across Galaxy devices. Closely aligned with the creative direction of the film, each theme enhances the overall look and feel of the interface while maintaining Galaxy’s standards for performance and usability.”
The company stated that this initiative is part of its ongoing efforts to broaden content-based experiences for its users. “The collaboration reflects Samsung’s ongoing commitment to expanding content-based experiences that enrich everyday life for Galaxy users. The company will continue to explore creative partnerships to deliver engaging and personalized UX that resonates with global audiences,” Samsung said.
The special themes are available from August 13 at 10:00 a.m. until September 12 at 11:59 p.m., local time, through a dedicated page in the Galaxy Store. Users who already have Netflix can unlock the themes by launching the Netflix app via this promotion page. Those without Netflix are directed to download it first; once installed and launched from within the store’s promotion page, they can then access both the KPop Demon Hunters theme and related wallpapers.
Compatibility details indicate that the main theme package requires a Galaxy smartphone running Android OS 15 or later and is not available on tablets. Wallpaper themes work with all Android versions but may not be supported on some models. The offer is available in select markets including South Korea, United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Brazil, Mexico, Canada, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia and Türkiye.
Both Samsung and Netflix note that these promotional themes may be changed or withdrawn at any time due to circumstances beyond their control.
