Tencent has announced the launch of four new global applications on its climate innovation platform, TanLIVE, during COP30. The company aims to improve collaboration and transparency in climate data by connecting innovators, governments, and financiers through these tools.
The first of the new offerings is ClimateTech Search (CTS), a federated search service designed to help users locate verified climate technologies across fragmented data sources. According to Tencent, CTS “can help users find verified, actionable climate solutions across fragmented data sources.” The tool was initiated by the Innovate for ClimateTech (I4C) coalition and integrates databases from organizations such as the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, Green Technology Bank, Solar Impulse Foundation, and WIPO Green. It uses AI-powered semantic search to understand user intent in multiple languages and provides results directly from expert-curated databases.
In addition to CTS, Tencent is collaborating with several international organizations to develop the UN Solutions Hub (UNSH). The company stated: “Tencent is partnering with the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the UN Global Innovation Hub and the Global Enabling Sustainability Initiative (GeSI) to deliver the UN Solutions Hub (UNSH), a new digital platform aimed at helping cities and governments accelerate climate action.” UNSH will be built on Tencent’s TanLIVE infrastructure and aims to create a space for collaboration among governments, solution providers, and financiers.
TanLIVE’s expansion also includes regional initiatives such as the African Climate Investment Tracker (ACIT). This project was initiated by the Africa Green Industrialization Initiative (AGII) and is technically powered by TanLIVE. ACIT offers bilingual data on green projects across Africa with plans for further expansion in 2026 to include matchmaking features for developers and investors.
Another application highlighted is TanLIVE Knowledge AI. This tool helps nonprofits convert their accumulated reports into searchable services powered by artificial intelligence. More than 70 nonprofits are currently using this feature to improve efficiency in public engagement, research, and information sharing.
Tencent emphasized that these developments reflect its commitment to advancing priorities set out at COP30 and supporting systemic change in partnership with organizations like the UNFCCC.
