Toyota Motor Corporation has announced a series of executive and senior management changes that will take effect on January 1, 2026. The company stated that these updates are part of its ongoing efforts to adapt its organizational structure and leadership.
Among the changes, Kazuaki Shingo, who currently serves as Operating Officer, will be resigning from his position. The roles of other top executives such as Koji Sato (President and Chief Executive Officer), Hiroki Nakajima (Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer), Yoichi Miyazaki (Executive Vice President), Takahiro Imura (Operating Officer, Production Group Chief Officer), Tetsuo Ogawa (Operating Officer, North America Region CEO at Toyota Motor North America, Inc.), Tatsuro Ueda (Operating Officer, China Region CEO at Toyota Motor [China] Investment Co., Ltd.), Simon Humphries (Operating Officer, Chief Branding Officer), and Kenta Kon (Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer; Woven by Toyota, Inc. Board Member) remain unchanged in their current capacities.
Changes within the senior professional and management ranks include several appointments and role adjustments:
– Koichi Shirozu will move from Software Development Center Chief Project Leader to Fellow at the same center.
– Masahiro Yamamoto will become Chief Risk Officer while retaining his responsibilities in General Administration & Human Resources Group and overseeing regions including India, Middle East, East Asia & Oceania.
– Takanori Azuma will focus on the Accounting Group while maintaining oversight for Taiwan.
– Yoshinori Ohno is appointed as Chief Compliance Officer alongside his current roles.
– Additional personnel changes involve Takami Kato’s secondment and Arata Ito’s promotion within the Purchasing Group.
The new CxO lineup includes Koji Sato as CEO, Hiroki Nakajima as CTO, Kenta Kon as CFO, Simon Humphries as CBO, Masahiro Yamamoto as CRO, Christopher Yang as Deputy CRO and Deputy CCO, Yoshinori Ohno as CCO, and Shinji Miyamoto as CQO.
In-house companies such as Advanced R&D and Engineering Company (led by Hirofumi Inoue) and Lexus International Co. (headed by Takashi Watanabe) have confirmed their respective presidents. Regional leadership assignments remain with figures like Tetsuo Ogawa for North America and Tatsuro Ueda for China.
