Toyota Group has announced the opening of “THE MOVEUM YOKOHAMA by TOYOTA GROUP,” an immersive museum scheduled to operate from December 20, 2025, to March 31, 2026. The museum will be located at Yamashita Pier Shed No. 4 in Yokohama, Kanagawa.
The initiative aligns with Yokohama’s efforts to foster cultural and artistic activities as part of its “Creative City” vision. According to Toyota Group, THE MOVEUM YOKOHAMA aims to provide visitors with cultural experiences that engage both emotions and intellect through immersive art installations. The exhibition space will cover nearly 1,800 square meters and offer visitors opportunities to interact with audiovisual artworks.
Two main exhibits will open the museum: “Fin de Siècle Vienna: The Golden Age of Beauty,” which explores the works of artists such as Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele; and “ONE MOMENT,” a new series from LISTEN., featuring global soundscapes and visuals. Tomoko Yamaguchi, producer for LISTEN., stated: “Let’s ‘Encounter the Earth.’ Sing, play music, dance, laugh, and cultivate a brighter tomorrow.”
The Toyota Group has previously supported arts initiatives by making its facilities available for concerts and exhibitions. This approach was expanded recently with the opening of TOYOTA ARENA TOKYO in Aomi this autumn.
In addition to the art displays, Toyota plans to introduce a mobility service using its e-Palette electric vehicle around Yamashita Pier during the event period. Ticket sales for THE MOVEUM YOKOHAMA began on October 23 via the official website (https://global.toyota/info/themoveum/).
Ticket prices vary depending on age group and purchase method; adults pay 3,000 yen online or 3,800 yen at the door; university, high school, and vocational students pay between 2,000–2,700 yen; elementary and junior high students between 1,200–1,900 yen; persons with disability certificates between 2,500–3,300 yen; preschool children are admitted free.
The event is organized by Toyota Group with support from organizations including the Austrian Embassy Tokyo and various local Yokohama institutions.
