Toyota Motor Corporation announced on Mar. 23 that it will reproduce and reissue the interior instrument panel for the Toyota A80 Supra as part of its GR Heritage Parts Project, with a planned release around autumn 2026. The company said the new part will be exhibited at Automobile Council 2026, which begins April 10 at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall in Chiba Prefecture.
The initiative is intended to help owners keep older Toyota vehicles in good condition by making discontinued service parts available again. According to Toyota, more than 300 parts for eight vehicle models are currently being reproduced and reissued under the project.
The upcoming A80 Supra instrument panel will use modern materials while maintaining the original design and texture. “Parts reproduced under the GR Heritage Parts Project retain the original basic design while incorporating the latest technologies, manufacturing methods, and materials,” Toyota said in its announcement. The company explained that dashboards face harsh conditions from sunlight exposure over time, leading to shrinking or cracking; therefore, durability has been improved in this reproduction.
In addition to operational components such as driving and stopping parts, Toyota stated that it plans to address customer requests for interior and exterior parts like dashboards moving forward. The company noted that it intends “to continue responding to customer requests by striving to reproduce and reissue the parts needed—from functional parts to interior and exterior parts—to help customers keep their beloved cars running longer and in the best possible condition.”
At Automobile Council 2026, alongside the new instrument panel display, visitors can also see an A80 Supra restored using already available GR Heritage Parts as well as other classic models like a restored AE86 Sprinter Trueno. Although not directly covered by this project’s reproduction efforts, a Lexus LFA sharing similar goals of continuous sports car part supply is also scheduled for exhibition.
Toyota indicated that sales of these heritage components—including installation services—will be offered through GR Garage locations, official dealerships across Japan, and JMS outlets once released.
