On May 29, 2025, Vietcombank participated in the “Banking Digital Transformation 2025” event organized by the State Bank of Vietnam. The theme was “Smart Digital Ecosystems in the New Era.”
Vietcombank is now the first bank in Vietnam to enable digital signature registration directly through its VCB Digibank app. This feature is integrated with the Remote Centralized Digital Signature Gateway (VNeID).
During the event, Vietcombank showcased its VCB Digibank platform, which serves nearly 16 million individual customers and offers over 260 features. It integrates with more than 1,700 service providers and processes approximately 300 million transactions per month. Recently, The Asian Banker named it Vietnam’s Best Digital Bank for 2025.
Ms. Đoàn Hồng Nhung, Director of Retail Banking at Vietcombank, presented this new digital signature registration feature during the event. Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính and Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyễn Thị Hồng were among those who visited Vietcombank’s booth.
By pioneering this capability, Vietcombank aims to simplify digital signatures for a seamless and secure experience across banking transactions, public services, and other electronic interactions.
At the conference’s plenary session, Ms. Phùng Nguyễn Hải Yến, Deputy CEO of Vietcombank, delivered a keynote titled “Applying VNeID-Integrated Digital Signatures for online disbursement – low-carbon transactions for greater convenience and societal benefit.” She highlighted secure digital identification’s critical role in driving banking sector transformation.
Aligned with this vision, Vietcombank has partnered with the RAR Center under the Ministry of Public Security’s Department C06 to integrate legally compliant digital signature functionality using VNeID. This initiative allows customers to conduct remote financial transactions safely and transparently.
The initiative reflects Vietcombank’s commitment to reducing paper usage and carbon emissions as part of its goal to become a sustainable financial institution.
Ms. Đoàn Hồng Nhung introduced this newly launched feature on the VCB Digibank app integrated with VNeID at an event attended by key government figures in late May 2025.
With this rollout, Vietcombank reinforces its leadership in digital banking by expanding a smart ecosystem that provides a safe transaction experience suitable for today’s digital age.
