On September 26, 2025, Tiền Phong Newspaper and NAPAS, in collaboration with the Payment Department of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), announced the fifth annual Việt Nam Card Day. The event for 2025 is themed “One Touch – Millions of Trusts” and aims to promote secure and convenient payment methods.

At a press conference, Đoàn Hồng Nhung, Member of the Board of Management and Director of Vietcombank’s Retail Banking Division, confirmed that Vietcombank will continue as the Diamond Sponsor for Việt Nam Card Day. She stated: “As a leading bank that is always ready to contribute to the development of Việt Nam’s card industry, Vietcombank is proud to accompany this programme as Diamond Sponsor. In the digital era, we continue to invest in research and development of a digital payment ecosystem, applying the most advanced technologies such as EMV chip cards, contactless cards, virtual cards, tokenisation, mobile payment applications, online customer identification (eKYC), Smart POS and mPOS solutions. Vietcombank has fully digitalised the card issuance and usage journey, delivering a seamless ‘one-touch’ payment experience that is safe, secure and perfectly aligned with the message of Việt Nam Card Day 2025.”

Nhung also highlighted at the event that VCB Digibank now serves over 17 million active users. More than 90 percent of transactions are conducted entirely online by individual customers.

She further explained: “Vietcombank has consistently implemented three groups of solutions. First, applying multi-layered technologies with the most advanced authentication and security measures; second, strictly complying with regulatory requirements while proactively adopting additional risk-prevention measures; and third, regularly updating customers on new fraud and scam tactics while guiding them to use modern payment methods in the safest way possible.”

During a Q&A session at the press conference regarding digital payment solutions for businesses, Nhung noted that in Q3 2025 Vietcombank launched VCB DigiShop—a solution package providing business clients with cashless payment tools integrated with sales management software as well as e-invoicing and online tax services.

She added: “We are also working independently and with partners to develop a risk classification system to provide transparent and safe credit solutions for individual customers and small and medium-sized enterprises.”

The organizing committee recognized Vietcombank’s ongoing support during the event.
