VinFast Auto India has opened its largest showroom in the country, located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The new facility is part of the company’s plan to expand its presence in India’s electric vehicle (EV) market.
The 4,700 square foot showroom is situated in Teynampet, a prominent area of Chennai. It is VinFast’s biggest location among the 35 showrooms planned for launch this year. The showroom will display VinFast’s premium electric SUVs, including the VF 6 and VF 7 models.
Maansarovar Motors, a well-known automotive retailer in Chennai, is promoting the outlet. According to VinFast Asia CEO Pham Sanh Chau: “Chennai’s legacy and its thriving ecosystem of innovation, skilled talent, and advanced infrastructure make it a natural choice for VinFast’s first-ever dealership in Tamil Nadu, which is also our largest touchpoint across the country. With this dealership, we are proud to deepen our commitment to this dynamic city and bring our premium electric mobility solutions closer to discerning customers in Tamil Nadu. Chennai represents the spirit of progress, and through our partnership with Maansarovar Motors, we aim to redefine the EV ownership journey — combining sustainability, technology, and world-class service. VinFast began accepting pre-bookings for its VF 6 and VF 7 SUVs on July 15, 2025. Customers can reserve their vehicles at showrooms or via the official website https://vinfastauto.in/ with a fully refundable deposit.
As part of its entry into India’s market, VinFast has partnered with companies such as RoadGrid, myTVS, and Global Assure to create a national network for charging stations and after-sales services. The company has also teamed up with BatX Energies to promote battery recycling efforts.
VinFast is expanding globally by increasing both its distribution network and manufacturing capacity across North America, Europe, and Asia.
