VinFast Auto India, a subsidiary of the global electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast, has signed a strategic agreement with BatX Energies. This Indian clean-tech company specializes in battery recycling and rare metal recovery. The partnership aims to establish an integrated battery value chain in India, supporting sustainable electric mobility.

BatX Energies will provide high-voltage battery recycling and material recovery services for VinFast India’s operations. The process will focus on recovering critical materials like lithium, cobalt, and nickel, promoting resource circularity and reducing environmental impact.

The collaboration aligns with India’s evolving EV landscape by focusing on battery lifecycle management and environmental stewardship. It also opens opportunities for future collaborations on second-life applications and strategic material recovery.

Mr. Pham Sanh Chau, CEO of VinFast Asia, stated: “This partnership with BatX Energies is a meaningful step toward building a sustainable, circular battery ecosystem in India.” Mr. Utkarsh Singh, CEO of BatX Energies, commented: “Our partnership with VinFast reflects a shared belief in responsible innovation and resource circularity.”

VinFast is expanding its network of strategic partnerships to build a future-ready EV ecosystem in India. The company plans to launch its first two products in India – VF 6 and VF 7 premium electric SUVs.
