VinFast has received two awards at the Road to CNBC Indonesia Awards 2025, held in Jakarta. The company was recognized as the “Pioneering Brand in Green Transition and Sustainability” and its VF 7 model was named “Compact SUV of the Year.” These honors contribute to VinFast’s growing reputation in Indonesia and reinforce its focus on promoting green mobility.
The “Pioneering Brand in Green Transition and Sustainability” award acknowledges VinFast’s approach to green mobility, which includes all aspects from production to aftersales services. The company has introduced initiatives such as a battery subscription policy aimed at making electric vehicles more accessible to Indonesian consumers. This strategy is seen as contributing to Indonesia’s efforts toward a greener economy by creating jobs, supporting industrial self-reliance, and encouraging the adoption of electric transportation.
VinFast is also expanding its presence in Indonesia with a comprehensive ecosystem that covers electric vehicles, dealerships, service centers, and plans for an assembly plant in Subang. The company is working with partners like Green SM and V-Green to improve charging infrastructure and operational services.
At the event, the VinFast VF 7 received recognition for combining modern European design with smart technologies and practical usability. It was selected as “Compact SUV of the Year,” reflecting what organizers see as a suitable option for Indonesian consumers who are interested in environmentally friendly vehicles.
The Road to CNBC Indonesia Awards is part of CNBC Indonesia’s annual program recognizing companies that contribute meaningfully to the national economy through sustainable practices. The selection process involves industry experts, academics, editors, government representatives, and independent research conducted by CNBC.
Previously, VinFast was honored at the CNN Indonesia Awards 2025 for innovation in sustainable electric mobility and contributions toward energy independence. The company has been noted for introducing business models that make electric vehicles more available to the public while reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
Kariyanto Hardjosoemarto, CEO of VinFast Indonesia, stated: “We are very proud to receive these two awards. They reflect the sustained effort VinFast has put into Indonesia. Innovation only truly matters when its benefits reach the community. This belief drives us to continue expanding a complete electric vehicle ecosystem that brings greater convenience to users and supports Indonesia in moving toward a greener and more progressive future.”
In addition to these awards, VinFast gained four recognitions at the Surabaya International Auto Show 2025. Its mini SUV VF 3 was named “Most Impressive EV Newcomer” by Carvaganza Editors’ Choice Awards. On an international level, TIME magazine included VinFast among Asia Pacific’s top 500 companies for 2025.
