The VinFast VF 3 mini-SUV has received the “Best Newcomer Electric Car” award at the Carvaganza Editors’ Choice Awards in Indonesia. The annual awards, organized by Carvaganza magazine since 2016, are considered among the most respected automotive honors in the country. This year’s evaluation included 159 models from various brands, assessed through independent test drives and expert reviews.
The VF 3 stood out among several international competitors and was also named a Top 3 nominee for the “Best Value Electric Car” category. According to the organizers, winners of these awards are recognized as leading examples within their segments and serve as an inspiration to the wider industry.
The jury praised the VF 3 for its agile performance, modern design, and contribution to promoting environmentally friendly transportation. They noted that VinFast’s sales and after-sales policies, which include battery subscription options, free charging, guaranteed buy-back values up to 90%, and interest-free vehicle loans, enhance its appeal in Indonesia.
Mr. Kariyanto Hardjosoemarto, CEO of VinFast Indonesia, stated: “We are immensely proud that the VF 3 has been recognized with the Best Newcomer award. This milestone not only affirms VinFasts innovative capability but also highlights the VF 3s pioneering mission as a new force in the green transition. We are confident this model will make a clear impact on the market and empower VinFast to continue creating world-class products with a Vietnamese identity, contributing to shaping the green future of the global automotive industry.”
Previously, AutoFun Indonesia named the VF 3 as “Most Ideal First Electric Vehicle,” citing its balance of design, price, and features amid growing demand for mini-cars.
VinFast entered Indonesia just over a year ago and now offers several electric vehicle models across different segments. The company is expanding its network of authorized dealers and service centers throughout Indonesia. It is also developing partnerships with companies such as Green SM (a pure-electric taxi operator) and V-Green (a global EV charging station developer). An upcoming assembly plant in Subang is expected to help increase local production rates.
