VinFast India has received the “Design of the Year Award” for its VF 7 SUV at the Zee Media Auto Summit 2025. The award recognizes VinFast’s focus on design, combining style, function, and sustainability in its electric vehicle offering.
The Zee Media Auto Summit is an annual event organized by Zee Media Publications. It brings together leaders and experts from the automotive industry to discuss key achievements and future trends in mobility in India. The summit is known for credible discussions within the automotive sector and has become a recognized name among industry awards.
The VF 7 SUV stood out to the jury with a design inspired by aerospace engineering, using sharp lines and bold forms that aim to express speed and precision even when stationary. Features such as hidden door handles, wider proportions, and a tapered roofline contribute both to visual impact and improved aerodynamics. Inside, the “Asymmetric Aerospace” theme developed by Torino Design of Italy creates a driver-focused cockpit. The vehicle also includes a panoramic glass roof, large touchscreens, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and other features aimed at strengthening its position in India’s electric vehicle market.
The VF 7 has already received other honors since its launch in India less than a year ago, including recognition as Most Awaited New Car by ABP Live News and EV Disruptor of the Year from Jagran Hi-Tech Awards. Both the VF 7 and smaller VF 6 are assembled at VinFast’s facility in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu.
