VinFast has achieved notable success at the Indonesia International Motor Show Surabaya (IIMS Surabaya) 2025, securing four awards. The Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer was recognized in categories voted on by both the Organizing Committee and attendees, strengthening its presence among industry experts and consumers in Indonesia.

The awards received by VinFast include “Best EV City Car” for the VF 3, “Favorite New Car Launch” for the VF 6, “Best Booth Car,” and “Best Costume | Miss IIMS Surabaya 2025.” IIMS is a significant exhibition attracting numerous automotive brands globally each year.

Held in East Java, IIMS Surabaya draws many visitors and industry enthusiasts. The event’s expert panel comprises leading journalists and specialists from various organizations.

In the “Best EV City Car” category, VinFast’s VF 3 surpassed competitors from China and Japan with an overwhelming 89% of votes from over 50,000 show attendees. The VF 3 has gained attention since its debut in Indonesia as the most-test-driven vehicle at IIMS 2025 in February.

The VF 6 also received recognition as “Favorite New Car Launch.” Experts praised its modern design and advanced features. This model is expected to appeal to Indonesian consumers, promoting “Electrified Transportation for Everyone.”

VinFast’s booth stood out with a modern design that inspired visitors about a green transportation future. Attendees were impressed by the Vietnamese Ao Dai costume displayed at their booth.

Mr. Rudi MF, Project Manager of Indonesia International Motor Show, commented: “We are very impressed with the product quality, the message conveyed, and the connection established with the audience as demonstrated by VinFast. The VF 3 and VF 6 models stand out as an interesting model that resonate well with both experts and the general public—something that is increasingly difficult to achieve in today’s competitive market.”

Mr. Kariyanto Hardjosoemarto, CEO of VinFast Indonesia stated: “Winning four awards at IIMS Surabaya 2025 is an incredibly proud milestone for VinFast. We are confident that we are on the right path in accelerating the green transition in Indonesia.”

In one year in Indonesia, VinFast launched four EV models: VF 3, VF 5, VF 6, and VF e34 while expanding its distribution network across major cities including Jakarta and Bali. Collaborations with partners like Otoklix aim to establish service workshops nationwide by end-2025.

VinFast is also developing a green mobility ecosystem through partnerships with companies such as GSM (electric taxi service) and V-GREEN (charging infrastructure), reinforcing its commitment to investing long-term in Indonesia.
